Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the HeyDo iOS app and related services, including the website at heydo.app (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using HeyDo, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
HeyDo is a free reminder and coordination service. It helps people send reminders, keep related details together, and see when reminders have been acknowledged or completed. Features may change over time as we improve the product.
There are currently no paid plans, subscriptions, or in-app purchases required to use HeyDo.
Age requirements
You must be at least 13 years old to create or use a HeyDo account, or meet any higher minimum age required by applicable law in your location. By creating or using a HeyDo account, you represent that you meet this requirement.
HeyDo does not currently ask for your date of birth and does not independently verify your age. If we learn that an account is being used by someone who does not meet the applicable minimum age requirement, we may restrict or delete the account as appropriate.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Provide accurate account information and keep it up to date where needed to use the Service.
You must be able to legally agree to these Terms in your location. If you use HeyDo on behalf of someone else, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for them.
Usernames
You may choose a username subject to availability and HeyDo’s rules. Usernames must not impersonate others, mislead people, or violate these Terms.
HeyDo usernames are permanently reserved and are not reassigned, including after an account is deleted or a username is changed. This helps preserve identity integrity and reduce impersonation or confusion.
Acceptable use
You agree to use HeyDo responsibly. You must not:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate others
- Upload malware or attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer the Service
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to use
- Use HeyDo in a way that interferes with other users’ experience
- Misuse notifications, reminders, or connections to spam or coerce others
Reminders and user content
You may create or share reminders, checklist items, comments, reactions, photos, documents, links, and related content (“User Content”).
You are responsible for the User Content you submit and for having any rights needed to share it. Do not upload content you do not have permission to use, and do not upload illegal or abusive material.
HeyDo does not verify the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of user-created reminders or other User Content. You remain responsible for deciding whether and how to rely on reminder content and other information provided through the Service.
You retain ownership of your User Content. To operate HeyDo, you grant HeyDo a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, transmit, display, and otherwise process User Content solely as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service, and to comply with law.
Files, photos, and documents
If you attach photos, documents, or other files, you are responsible for those files and for any sensitive information they contain. Do not upload content that violates law or these Terms.
Notifications and scheduling
Reminders and push notifications are a convenience. They can be delayed, missed, limited, or unavailable depending on your device settings, network conditions, app state, or third-party delivery systems. Delivery at an exact time is not guaranteed.
Scheduled reminders are also a convenience. HeyDo does not guarantee that a scheduled reminder will be created, delivered, displayed, acknowledged, or completed at a particular time.
HeyDo is not an emergency service and should not be relied upon for medical emergencies, personal safety, emergency response, or other safety-critical uses. Do not use HeyDo as a substitute for contacting emergency services or other professional help when those are needed.
Service availability
We aim to keep HeyDo available and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, or error-free operation. Features may be updated, limited, or discontinued as the product evolves.
HeyDo depends on third-party infrastructure and services, including cloud hosting, authentication, storage, and push notification providers. Outages, delays, or changes in those services can affect HeyDo.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, abused the Service, created risk for other users, or if required by law or to protect the Service.
Account deletion
You may delete your account from Settings in the HeyDo app. After deletion, some information may be deleted, anonymized, or retained as necessary depending on the type of data and legitimate operational or security needs. Some shared historical context, security records, or permanently reserved usernames may remain where needed for other participants or identity integrity. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
Intellectual property
HeyDo and its branding, design, software, and related materials are owned by HeyDo or its licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of the Service. You may not copy, modify, or distribute HeyDo’s branding or software except as allowed by law or with permission.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. By using HeyDo, you acknowledge that policy.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. HeyDo disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except where such disclaimers are not allowed.
Without limiting the section above, HeyDo does not warrant that reminders, notifications, acknowledgements, scheduled delivery, or other Service features will always be timely, accurate, complete, or available.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HeyDo and those involved in providing the Service will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, business opportunities, goodwill, or data arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
HeyDo is provided as a general-purpose reminder and coordination service. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to rely on reminders, notifications, scheduled delivery, acknowledgements, uploaded content, and other information provided through the Service. HeyDo should not be relied upon for emergencies, medical needs, personal safety, or other situations where delayed, missed, lost, or incorrect information could cause serious harm.
HeyDo uses reasonable measures intended to protect the Service and user information, but no online service can guarantee uninterrupted operation or absolute security. Unauthorized access, cyberattacks, software vulnerabilities, service failures, outages, data loss, errors, or other disruptions may occur despite safeguards. HeyDo does not guarantee that the Service will be free from unauthorized access, security incidents, data loss, outages, errors, or other disruptions.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HeyDo’s liability arising out of or relating to the Service will be limited to the minimum liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. When we update these Terms, we will revise the effective date above and may provide additional notice in the app or on the website. If you continue using HeyDo after changes take effect, you agree to the updated Terms.
Applicable law
These Terms are intended to be interpreted in a reasonable manner. Applicable law may depend on your location and on mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under local law that cannot lawfully be limited by contract.
