Account deletion
Delete Your HeyDo Account
Delete your account from the HeyDo app
You can permanently delete your HeyDo account directly from the app:
- Open HeyDo and sign in to your account.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Delete Account.
- Review the deletion warning and select Continue.
- Enter your current password, then select Delete Account to confirm.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Future scheduled reminders sent by your account are cancelled as part of the deletion process.

What gets deleted?
When the in-app deletion process completes, HeyDo:
- Deletes your sign-in account and private account profile.
- Deletes your registered device and push-notification token records.
- Deletes your email lookup-directory entry.
- Deletes your uploaded HeyDo profile photo, if present.
- Removes your live name, username, and photo information from your public profile and replaces it with a “Deleted User” placeholder.
- Marks your current HeyDo connections as removed.
- Cancels future scheduled reminders created by your account that have not yet been sent.
Data that may be retained
Some information is retained or may remain after account deletion where needed for other participants, identity integrity, security, recovery, abuse prevention, operational needs, or legal compliance:
- Your username reservation is retained permanently and is not reassigned. Your live username is removed from your public profile.
- Shared reminder and discussion history may remain for other participants. This can include delivered reminders, comments, reactions, activity, checklist history, and reminder attachments or other shared files.
- Removed connection records and a minimal deleted-user public-profile placeholder may remain to preserve shared history and data integrity.
- A limited account-deletion job record, security logs, backups, and similar operational records may remain for integrity, recovery, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
HeyDo’s current Privacy Policy does not specify one fixed retention period for backups, logs, or operational records. Retention varies by data type, and operational copies may take additional time to expire. The username reservation is retained permanently.
